Feeling a bit of chaos in the world and it is throwing you off? This is an episode for you to use the Trickster Archetype to embrace the chaos with non-attachment and open up to new levels of creativity in your life.
If you want to become a life coach and wonder how you can help others, listen to our recent Soul Sessions podcast episode to explore how our unique Jungian coaching model is the future of coaching.
The end of the year tends to put us all through upheaval and maybe a little chaos. By default, we want to get back in control and lessen the time we are in uncertainty, but what if this time could be highly creative?
Every moment in your life can be looked at as a blessing or a curse. Carl Jung talked about the Trickster archetype that symbolizes disruption in life from the status quo. Whether it is losing a job, relationship or a business deal that you thought was rock solid, you do not have to fall into despair and helplessness.
We need the Trickster or our life becomes rigid, formulaic and uninspiring. If we are not actively changing our life or being creative, the Trickster enters in the form of a difficult person or a troubling event that tends to trip us up. This is what some people call the “wake-up call.”
Sometimes we feel overwhelmed with changes and respond with the same resistance we always had for change. If you embrace the chaos, you can feel less stress with all the changes because you are letting go of the attachment to everything being normal. You can begin to use this as an opportunity to understand yourself and outdated deeper patterns that have been keeping you stuck in life. The chaos is an invitation for your transformation.
What in your life has become too mundane and predictable?
If you are in a big transition, can you see the catalyst for this change being your ally instead of the villain?
How can the disruption in your life be an invitation to a bigger life?
