Unlock the secrets to your deepest self and enhance your relationships through the transformative power of Jungian coaching! In this episode of Soul Sessions, we’re exploring the concept of soul mates and both the masculine and feminine archetypes.
If you want to become a life coach and wonder how you can help others, listen to our recent Soul Sessions podcast episode to explore how our unique Jungian coaching model is the future of coaching.
Are soulmates real or just an illusion? Are we destined to be with a certain person or is falling in love an accident?
Carl Jung believed that we have both masculine and feminine aspects of ourselves. Some are conscious and most are unconscious. Jung called them the archetypes of Anima and Animus.
When we are attracted to a person, we are projecting an unconscious part of ourselves onto the other. Since we have not made these aspects conscious, they show up in others to give us an opportunity to reclaim them. We think that person is coming to rescue us from loneliness but they are just mirrors to our own power that we deny.
As we continue our series on relationships in our Soul Sessions: Jungian Coaching podcast, we discuss the masculine and feminine archetypes and explain how Jung is not speaking of gender but forces within us like the yin/yang or shatki/shiva in eastern traditions. These dual aspects are always seeking balance.
A true relationship is when we can reclaim the projections and find balance within ourselves. We can then connect to a person on a soul-level. We see ourselves as we truly are and then we can experience our partners as they are without the weight of the expectations and loss of power that projections cause.
