Are you wondering if you just experience a random coincidence or was it Synchronicity? Synchronicity is a meaningful pattern that can change your life.
If you want to become a life coach and wonder how you can help others, listen to our recent Soul Sessions podcast episode to explore how our unique Jungian coaching model is the future of coaching.
Have you ever thought of someone and, at that VERY moment, they called you?
Some people may brush it off as a coincidence but, if this event was meaningful, it was more than that – it was what Jung called Synchronicity.
Why is Synchroncity something we should pay attention to?
Well, it has a very powerful effect – having these meaningful coincidences gives us a direct experience of the underlying interconnectedness we all share. Jung called this Unus Mundus or “one world.”
When you are able to recognize these experiences in your life of merging inner and outer worlds, you begin to have a deeper connection to the unconscious forces that are guiding you. They foster a sense of connection and purpose leading to better decision-making and life choices.
Here’s Jung’s definition of Synchronicity. “A meaningful coincidence of two or more events where something other than the probability of chance is involved.”
When you experience Synchronicity, it feels magical, different or mystical. You know something greater than your conscious personality is at play in the journey of your life. This provides comfort and helps us seek higher spiritual knowledge to grow and evolve.
Coaching Exercise:
Set an intention in the morning. Think of a problem you would like to solve and ask your inner self the question. Then, pay attention throughout the day and watch for synchronistic events. You may have to try this every day for a week or two to begin to SEE them, but keep practicing and you can cultivate the ability to recognize them more and more.
If you want to learn more about synchronicity, we are exploring this topic in our new podcast episode, “Synchronicity – Identifying Meaningful Patterns to Change Your Life.”
Here are some highlights that we cover in the show:
- Synchronicity is more than luck or coincidence; it’s about finding personal meaning in acausal events.
- Emotions play a crucial role in ascribing significance to synchronicities, acting as your psyche’s guide.
- By paying attention, you can step into a more symbolic life.
- Jung’s perspective highlights the unconscious mind’s wisdom, inviting you to explore beyond the obvious and measurable
