Jung’s concept of Anima and Animus help us understand the hidden forces that influence our life and, if only expressed through ego, they can lead to overworking, emotional overwhelm, lack of direction, loss of passion and seeking power over others to compensate for perceived inadequacies.
We named these forces as Love and Power. The Anima corresponds with love – emotions, creativity, intuition, feminine energy and chaos. The Animus corresponds with power – thought, reason, action, masculine and structure.
